thought 1

My inspiration to start a blog came to me when I was on a morning walk through a beautiful conservation park near my area. My friends and I started to walk here about one month ago, utilising the time to catch up whilst getting in our weekly exercise, but last week I decided to go on my own. Usually I listen to my ipod when I walk, but as my little puberty-driven brother was too stubborn to lend me his head phones I was technology free, which actually turned out to be a very vital experience. The culture of today traps people into their own world and it is rare that we take a step back and actually look into the beautiful world mother nature has created. I know it sounds a bit cheesy and has probably been said before, but as I looked around without any distraction and used my ears to listen to the sounds of the birds and the stream I felt as though I was being taken into another level; a purer level. When I felt this energy, I felt like I had to share it with the world. We as humans forget the concept that we are part of nature in this universe. We are just animals with more intellect. Some think of this as a gift, but I think in this day and age it is also our worst enemy. Personally, I've never been a fan of blogging. I'm more of a write-in-journal type of gal. But I like the idea of sharing my thoughts and knowledge with people that either have the same interests as me or are looking for answers to certain things. I too, am searching for answers on my journey, and hopefully will be able to learn new things from this little project.

Lately I've begun to dwell into the ancient healing system called Ayurveda. I've always been interested in health and alternative ways of healing, but I'm in a stage right now where its becoming more of a passion rather than a hobby. The name Sukha comes from Ayurvedic Sanskrit; it means happiness.
Because when it comes down to it, thats what everyone is really striving for isnt it? Happiness. There are many different answers to the meaning of happiness and I think one of the most undiscovered things in the human population is what true happiness really is.

So I'm hoping this blog inspires, teaches and awakens its readers. And I hope to also extract these elements from others. Who knows, maybe my writing skills may even improve ;-)

stay happy.
